5. Packers Offensive Line vs Seattle Front Seven

The Green Bay Packers rode Aaron Jones to several wins this season, and his success makes the offense flow easier. When he’s running well, the team can run play-action off of it with a fair bit of success. The Seahawks’ front isn’t the fearsome group that it was at the beginning of the decade, but there are still a few playmakers in this group, especially at the linebacker spots with Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright.

Seattle is 24th in DVOA against the run, and the Packers’ rushing offense is ranked fourth by the same metrics. The Packers’ front, as long as Bryan Bulaga (concussion) can go, would have their entire collection of blockers. In addition to their work in the running game, it also keeps Aaron Rodgers upright as he looks to attack a Seattle secondary that is in the middle of the pack so far this season.

Jones’ ability to make something out of nothing makes life easier on the linemen, and they just have to give him a small crease to make something happen. Rodgers has taken a step back this season, but, as he stated earlier this week, his main goal is winning. The team doesn’t solely rely on his efforts anymore, but they would be welcomed in a must-win game like this one.
