Green Bay Packers vs Seattle Seahawks: 5 Matchups to Watch
The divisional playoffs are here, and the Green Bay Packers will be looking to take down the Seattle Seahawks at home on Sunday night in these matchups.
The Green Bay Packers (13-3) earned a first-round bye heading into the playoffs, and they have a matchup with the Seattle Seahawks (12-5) at home on Sunday afternoon. This will be Green Bay’s first playoff game in the last three seasons, and it’s their first home playoff game since they knocked off the New York Giants in the Wild Card round four seasons ago. For Seattle, they backed their way into the playoffs, but they knocked off the Philadelphia Eagles on the road last week.
Green Bay has won ugly all year long, and the Seahawks have won similarly. Among playoff teams, the two sides had two of the five worst point differentials at +63 for Green Bay and +7 for Seattle. The two teams rely on their offense in a couple of different ways, especially with the injuries that Seattle sustained to their running backs. Seattle has a high-flying passing attack, and the Packers have consistently gotten production from various parts of their offense.
It’s win or go home time at this point of the year, and Green Bay is looking to build on the success they’ve had under first-year head coach Matt LaFleur. For Seattle, Russell Wilson is looking to build on the tremendous year that he has put together thus far. At the end of the day, these matchups are what is going to decide this game.
