Aaron Rodgers has the potential to be a game-changer for the Green Bay Packers in their quest for another Super Bowl Trophy.

By now, we’ve all heard about Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers fall to mortality ad nauseam. The quarterback who was once Superman and won two MVPs has appeared to come in contact with his kryptonite. Depending on what stats you look at, Rodgers play varies anywhere from average to slightly above average.

Still, there’s no denying the talent he possesses. Rodgers is one of the most gifted quarterbacks in the history of the NFL. He’s the total package with a tremendous blend of smarts, arm strength, accuracy, decision-making and mobility.

Fortunately, he has one of the most complete teams he’s ever been a part of. The defense survived an extended mid-season slump and has played better than ever over the last five games. They get after the quarterback and force their opponent into timely turnovers. It’s the type of unit that could’ve helped Green Bay win more Super Bowls since their last one in 2011.

Although the weapons around Rodgers may not be as good as they once were, he still has a very balanced attack. Aaron Jones has emerged as one of the best dual-threat running backs in the league. His ability to make plays on the ground or through the air is a matchup nightmare. Davante Adams is also one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

After those two, the weapons are severely lacking. Gone are they days where Rodgers had multiple receivers who were adept at getting open, catching the ball and making plays with the rock in their hand. Maybe that’s part of Rodgers’ downturn.

Whatever the reason, it’s a known fact that Rodgers plays best with a chip on his shoulder. And he’s been more chippy than ever down the stretch.

Rodgers is well aware of the criticisms around his game and that the Packers win ugly. But he doesn’t care. All he wants are the victories.

If he can somehow tap into that old Rodgers’ magic for just three games, it would greatly improve the Packers’ odds at winning another Super Bowl. Great quarterback play appears to be what this team’s been missing all season long.

I’m not saying he has to dominate the whole game like he once had to. Instead, he has to make the consistent throws to open receivers and make a few spectacular plays throughout the game. If he can spark the offense with some of the old Rodgers, he could complete the championship puzzle for Green Bay.
