Aaron Rodgers

It is a little odd having Aaron Rodgers – Super Bowl Champion and two-time NFL MVP – on a list of X-Factors, but given his play this season, he is a huge factor in determining how far this Green Bay Packers team can go. For the first time in a number of years, this team isn’t solely dependent on Rodgers to win games. As we’ve seen, they can win a number of different ways, whether that be with their defense, Aaron Jones, or some other way.

With that said, it is true that Rodgers hasn’t put up the same numbers that we are accustomed to seeing from him and at times – especially the last two weeks – he’s been wildly inaccurate. However, I don’t think he’s been nearly as bad as some will lead you to believe either. It’s a new system for him just as it is for everyone else and given the underwhelming play from Green Bay’s receivers this season, it’s taken some time to jell.

But even with some of the inaccurate throws, there have still been plenty of the vintage Aaron Rodgers’ throws that make you say “wow.”  And even with the inconsistencies of the passing game this season, the Green Bay Packers are still winning. If Rodgers and his receivers can get into a rhythm during the playoffs, watch out.
