Alex Leatherwood OT – Alabama

It’s not always the easiest during a live game to keep your focus on a tackle, but here is another one to be on the lookout for. As I mentioned above, long-term I believe the best course of action for the Packers is to draft Bryan Bulaga’s replacement and let him develop. The offensive tackle is a premier position in the NFL and Green Bay has had two of the best for a number of years now, however, it is time to start planning for the future.

Here is what Kyle Crabbs had to say about Leatherwood:

"“Man, Leatherwood is athletic! He moves really well in space and his mirror ability is something to take note of. He’s not afraid to embrace the path of least resistance as a blocker in zone concepts, consistently turning out defenders and using momentum against them to win spacing. Shows a ton of natural power and strength as a blocker to win and reset the LOS, pairing it with a dynamic first step to gain ground and win on the correct side of the line of scrimmage. Athletic build carries weight very well, he’s a natural mover and can thrive in gap or zone concepts.”"

DeVonta Smith WR – Alabama

There are definitely a few Alabama wide receivers to keep tabs on, but they could very well be off the board by the time the Green Bay Packers select. However, DeVonta Smith remains a viable option. Smith has had a huge breakout season, totaling 1,200 receiving yards and averaging over 18 yards per catch with 13 touchdowns. This includes two games with over 200 receiving yards, one of which was an incredible 274 against Mississippi. To put it simply, Smith is dynamic.

Joe Marino had this to say about Smith in his scouting report:

"“Technically-refined route runner. Love his route tempo and how he sets up his breaks. Nuanced footwork to manipulate corners, bend his stems and create leverage. Dude knows how to get open. Experienced running routes with multiple breaks. Does a great job executing vertical cuts. Excellent body control and ball tracking skills, particularly over the shoulder. Finds the ball in the air and adjusts. Isn’t the biggest receiver but that doesn’t mean he can’t elevate and high point the football. Vision, acceleration and decision making with the ball in his hands makes him effective post catch.”"
