3. Stephen Strasburg, SP

Now we get into the big names on the free agent market, beginning with Stephen Strasburg. The World Series MVP had a heck of a postseason run and good enough regular season campaign to boost his worth to the moon.

His career has been marred by injuries, but that has never stopped him. He threw 209 innings last season, the second-most in his career. His 3.32 ERA was also very good. His timing was impeccable, as he’s a pending free agent and just had one of the best seasons of his career.

At 31-years-old, this could be his best opportunity to score a huge deal on the open market. He’s very likely way out of the Brewers’ price range given his epic abilities. Still, a man can dream.
