10. Cole Hamels

The oldest player on this list, Cole Hamels kicks us off at No. 10. The lefty pitcher isn’t as good as he once was, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be a welcomed addition to the Brewers’ starting rotation.

Hamels pitched with the Texas Rangers and Chicago Cubs last year. He started 32 games and went 9-12 with a 3.78 ERA. Not bad for a soon to be 36-year-old. He did suffer an oblique injury in June and struggled upon his return. Still, Milwaukee could be persuaded to take a chance on Hamels at the right price.

A two-year deal is probably what Hamels is looking for at this point in his career. It would likely be his final contract and allow him to ride off into the sunset. The Brewers might not be at the top of his list, but they have made the playoffs in each of the past two seasons and could do so again with some timely additions.
