Milwaukee Brewers: 10 best free agents available
2. Anthony Rendon, 3B
Another member of the Washington Nationals, Anthony Rendon made his first All-Star game last season. He hit a career-high in home runs (34), RBIs (126) and doubles (44) as well. Add in his slash line of .319/.412/.598 and you have a bonafide stud.
It just so happens the Brewers have a need a third base as well. Rendon would fit perfectly and would offer tremendous protection behind fellow 2019 MVP candidate Christian Yelich. It would certainly make for a very dangerous middle of the order.
However, if Milwaukee wants to sign Rendon, they’ll have to break the bank. At 29-years-old, he’ll be looking for a contract to take him into or near his mid-30s. That’s a risky proposition for a small market squad like the Brewers.
