21. Dan Plesac

Relief pitcher alert! Dan Plesac joins the list at 21 as the first closer on this list. He was originally selected in the second round of the 1980 draft by the St. Louis Cardinals before electing to go to college at North Carolina State. Three years later, the Brewers picked him in the first round. Take that, Cardinals!

Plesac made his MLB debut in 1986 and quickly became the closer for Milwaukee. From 1986 through 1990, he had 124 saves. He also made the All-Star team three times in a row form 1987 through 1989. His 133 saves in Milwaukee ranks first in franchise history as does his 3.21 career ERA.

He became a free agent in 1992, signed with the Chicago Cubs of all teams and never looked back. Still, his time in Milwaukee was memorable and he pitched the best baseball of his career for the Brewers. And for that we are grateful.
