23. Carlos Gomez

Ah, one of the most colorful and passionate players to ever suit up for the Brewers. Carlos Gomez was a lightning rod after being acquired via trade with the Minnesota Twins in 2010. Never one to care what others think, Gomez often found himself immersed in controversy with opposing teams.

Nonetheless, Milwaukee revitalized Gomez and gave him the best chance to be the player he was meant to be. He always possessed great physical tools, but the Twins tried to turn him into a base-hitter. That’s not who he was and the Brewers allowed him to unleash his power.

After never hitting more than eight home runs in his first five major league seasons, he hit 19, 24 and 23 from 2012-2014. He earned his only two All-Star appearances in 2013 and 2014 as well. Overall, he finished with a .267/.325/.452 slash line during his six years in Milwaukee.
