4. Cecil Cooper

This list is full of players from the 1982 Brewers’ team and Cecil Cooper is yet another one. The first baseman locked down the position after coming over from the Boston Red Sox in 1977. He was always on base, hitting for an average of at least .300 in his first seven seasons with the Brewers. His .302 career average ranks third in franchise history.

He was also an RBI machine, eclipsing the 100 RBI mark four separate times in Milwaukee. This earned him third place in franchise history with 944 in his 11 years with the Brewers.

Cooper made the All-Star team five times and received votes in the MVP race five times-including three fifth-place finishes. He ended his career as a Brewer as well in 1987 when he decided to walk into the sunset at 37-years-old.
