14. Teddy Higuera

Teddy Higuera is one of the greatest acquisitions the Brewers have ever made. They acquired him in 1983 after purchasing his contract from the Mexican league. He only spent one year in the minors before exploding onto the scene in 1985 by going 15-8 with a 3.90 ERA.

Higuera spent the next nine years with the Brewers and had very good success from 1985-1990. He made the All-Star team in 1986 and won 20 games that year as well. He was 69-38 during his first four years as well.

Unfortunately, injuries ruined the latter part of his career. He had back surgery in 1989 that limited his availability. Furthermore, he tore his rotator cuff in 1991 that completely derailed his career. Without the injuries, Higuera could’ve climbed this list even further.
