15. Don Money

Originally a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Brewers acquired Don Money in a trade with the Pirates in 1972. It turned out to be a great deal, as Money and the Brewers mutually benefited from the change of scenery.

Money played the best ball of his career with the Brewers. He made his first All-Star team in 1974 and also exploded at the plate. He was a doubles machine, racking up 32 that season. His good play continued in 1977 when he set a career-high in home runs (25) and RBIs (83). He’d go on to make one final All-Star appearance in 1978.

Money’s career winded down from 1981 when age set in. Regardless, he had a fruitful campaign and really found a home in Milwaukee. His .270/.338/.421 slash line looks very nice despite the last three seasons pulling it down.
