This version of the franchise was created in 1969 and were originally known as the Seattle Pilots. They went 64-98 in their first season and struggled on and off the field. Their stadium was outdated and had multiple issues throughout the season. With ownership not wanting to pony up the money to make the necessary changes, Bud Selig led the charge in purchasing the team and relocating them to Wisconsin.
The Brewers have a 48.3 percent win percentage since coming to Milwaukee, including six playoff appearances and one pennant. After failing to make the postseason 25 straight times from 1983-2007, they finally broke through the wall in 2008. They’ve now made the playoffs four times in 12 years, including two NLCS appearances.
It’s been an up and down ride for Brewers’ fans, but their certainly has been a lot of fun along the way. Without further ado, here are the 25 best players in franchise history.
