What is the key to beating Green Bay?

Tyler: Let the defense play with a lead. It’s unlikely the Chargers hold more than a touchdown lead in this game, if they ever have the lead at all. But if the Chargers can work their hurry-up offense into the entire game plan, they’ve got a shot to score early enough and get lucky enough on defense that Aaron Rodgers is forced to throw more. Again, it’s unlikely they hold a strong enough lead to force Rodgers to throw over and over, but Bosa and Ingram’s impact on the game is maximized when they are allowed to rush the passer.

Takeaway: Over the course of this season we have seen that the Green Bay Packers can beat teams in a number of ways, but my expectation this week is that we see a heavy dose of Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams in the running game as well as some quick passes to them in open space. As Tyler has mentioned, the strength of this L.A. team is their pass rush and if the Packers can establish the run and get the ball out of Rodgers’ hands fairly quickly, it is going to mitigate the impact of Bosa and Ingram.
