After finishing 12-4 last year, what has gone wrong in 2019?

Tyler: Injuries. As much as the general manager and coaching staff deserve blame for not addressing areas of concern (offensive tackle, in particular) there is no way this team is 3-5 with all of their players healthy. Sure, that’s the NFL, but the Chargers have been down Melvin Ingram, Derwin James, Russell Okung, Adrian Phillips, Melvin Gordon (some would say that’s a plus), and Mike Pouncey for a number of games; all are Pro-Bowl players.

Takeaway: Unfortunately, this is how it goes in the NFL sometimes and we as Green Bay Packers fans know how devastating the injury bug can be. Some key names that will be out of the game on Sunday for the Chargers include Justin Jones and Brandon Mebane – the starting defensive tackles, as well as Roderic Teamer – their starting safety.

With an almost fully healthy Packers squad, they will need to take advantage of this beaten-up Chargers team, especially with the absence of Jones and Mebane as L.A. already has one of the worst run defenses in the league. Some key names for the Chargers that should be suiting-up include wide receiver Keenan Allen, edge defender Melvin Ingram, and offensive lineman Russell Okung.
