The NFL trade deadline is just one week away and here is a full recap of the top targets that the Green Bay Packers should be calling on.

Through the first seven weeks of the NFL season, the Green Bay Packers sit at 6-1 overall and a crucial 3-0 within the NFC North. Their defense is creating sacks and forcing turnovers, while Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams may be one of the best running back duos in the league, and of course, Aaron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers.

However, there is always room for improvement and that includes the Packers who have become one of the best teams in the league. Most would agree, that additional help in the passing game is what Green Bay could benefit from the most and with the potential that this team has to make some postseason noise, GM Brian Gutekunst should be open to adding a receiver or a pass-catching tight end to the mix.

Over the last month or so, I have highlighted different receivers, tight ends, and even a running back that could be available and that would also be a good fit here in Green Bay. Be sure to keep in mind that as you look back at these articles that the stats from this season might be a week or two out of date, but their contract info, as well as their fit with the Green Bay Packers, is still valid.

Emmanuel Sanders – WR

Just last week, Denver Broncos GM John Elway stated that Emmanuel Sanders was not going to be available for trade. However, after an abysmal loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last Thursday night, the Broncos now find themselves at 2-5 this season. With Sanders in the final year of his contract, trying to get something in return might be Denver’s best option at this point.

Corey Davis – WR

The Tennessee Titans are hanging on to their playoff lives and might not be willing to let go of Corey Davis at this point, but he also hasn’t lived up to the hype of being the fifth overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft either. Davis is familiar with Matt LaFleur’s offense and would give the Packers a versatile option at receiver who can lineup out wide or in the slot. At a minimum, Gutekunst should at least make a phone call to Tennessee.

Kenyan Drake – RB

The Miami Dolphins have been having a fire sale this season as a part of their rebuild and the newest name that is being shopped around is running back, Kenyan Drake. Now, as I mentioned above, the Packers already have a fantastic one-two punch in Jones and Williams but Drake’s ability as a more refined pass-catcher and route runner would give this Green Bay offense a new weapon.

Mohamed Sanu – WR

Coming into the season the Atlanta Falcons had high expectations but after losing their fifth game in a row they sit at 1-5. With Julio Jones locked up and Riley Ridley across from him, Atlanta could be open to trading the 30-year old Mohamed Sanu in return for a draft pick that could help rebuild their defense.

Austin Hooper – TE

For the reasons listed above, Atlanta head coach Dan Quinn is likely on his way out-of-town and GM Thomas Dimitroff could look to start a mini-rebuild. Austin Hooper would finally give the Packers a reliable tight end in the passing game and he has also been an effective blocker over his career which is very important to Matt LaFleur.

O.J. Howard – TE

For whatever reason, O.J. Howard just can’t seem to get any consistent targets in Tampa Bay, even though he has shown nothing but big-play potential since his days at Alabama. In Green Bay, Howard would immediately become a red zone threat and as well as a weapon over the middle. At this point, it simply might be best for both Howard and the Bucs to part ways and get a fresh start.
