Milwaukee Bucks: Ultimate 2019-20 Season Preview
Subtractions
General manager Jon Horst had a lot of difficult decisions to make in the offseason. Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, George Hill, Malcolm Brogdon and Nikola Mirotic were all free agents. He was able to bring back the first three, but lost the last two.
Brogdon was the biggest loss of the bunch. He was terrific from the outside and was one of their only consistent shot-creators as well. Milwaukee will be trying to replace him all season long. Fortunately, they got a first and two second-round picks out of a trade with the Indiana Pacers.
Mirotic didn’t play very well in a Bucks’ uniform so that’s not as big of a loss as you’d think. He went back to the Euroleague. The Bucks also lost Tim Frazier (free agency) and Tony Snell (trade) to the Detroit Pistons. Snell was a necessary loss in order for Milwaukee to create necessary cap space to bring back their other guys.
