The Green Bay Packers are looking to take down the Detroit Lions in Week 6, and they’ll need to win these matchups to make that happen.

The Green Bay Packers (4-1) got back to their winning ways last week when they took down the Dallas Cowboys. Now, in Week 6, they have a matchup against the division-rival Detroit Lions (2-1-1). If Green Bay can knock off Detroit, they’ll have gone 3-0 in the division through their first three matchups. After going just 1-4-1 in the division last season, they’ll be sitting in a great spot heading into their West coast matchups.

For Detroit, if it weren’t for a catastrophic meltdown against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, they would be 3-1. Unlike Green Bay, they’re only dealing with a handful, nine to Green Bay’s 20, of injuries, but they’ve already had their bye week, which means they’ll have to push through the remaining 13 games on their schedule with no weeks off. Green Bay could get to 5-1 if they’re able to take down Matthew Stafford and the Lions on Monday night in Green Bay.

The injury bug has bitten Green Bay a ton in years past, and it derailed more than one season. Looking through the injury report, 13 players on the injury report are starters on offense or defense. Two of the four non-participants in Thursday’s practice were Davante Adams and Darnell Savage Jr. Both have been huge pieces of this team’s identity early on, and, if they’re unable to go, these matchups will be a lot harder for Green Bay to win.
