What are a couple of keys to the Vikings winning the game?

Any time the Minnesota Vikings take on the Green Bay Packers, it is usually an intense game with plenty of action to keep fans on their toes. Once again, this should be a similar game where both teams will need to play mistake-free football and fight for everything they get.

Offensively, the purple and gold need to keep proving they can run the football effectively. The Vikings don’t want to get into a shootout between Aaron Rodgers and Kirk Cousins and instead should look to control the pace and the clock. This will rest on the offensive line, who looked shaky at times in Week 1 against the Falcons.

On defense, the key once again is pressure. Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks ever to play the game, but even he can get frustrated when a strong pass rush gets pressures or hits on him before he can find an open receiver. Danielle Hunter and Everson Griffen will be the two guys to watch here, but with a Zimmer defense, the sacks could come from anywhere.

Takeaway: As always, a big key for the Green Bay Packers is keeping Aaron Rodgers upright but defensively, they need to slow down Dalvin Cook. Against the Falcons, the Vikings were able to rely heavily on Cook which took the ball out of Kirk Cousins’ hands.

If the Packers are able to force the Vikings to throw more, it will expose their offensive line’s shaky pass-blocking and allow the Green Bay defensive front to make some plays and hopefully force a few turnovers.
