Geronimo Allison will have over 1,000 receiving yards

This offseason, many have been wondering who will be the number two receiver next to Davante Adams and for two reasons, in particular, I am anticipating that it will be Geronimo Allison. First off, he has the trust of Aaron Rodgers, which is key and second, it looks like he is going to be Green Bay’s top slot receiver which plays an important role in the Matt LaFleur offense.

For whatever reason, Allison seems to take on quite a bit of hate from some Green Bay Packers fans. However, prior to his injury last year he was poised for a breakout season. Through four games he totaled 289 receiving yards which at that point in the season led the team.

Whether it was during Kyle Shanahan’s time in Atlanta with Mohamed Sanu or Sean McVay in Los Angeles with Cooper Kupp, the slot receiver is an important part of their offenses and the same holds true for LaFleur.

So as a result, Allison should see plenty of targets this season and like he has shown he is capable of, he will turn those attempts into production.
