2. Sign and trade of Malcolm Brogdon

There have been questions about Malcolm Brogdon’s commitment to Milwaukee since his exit interview following the playoff loss to the Toronto Raptors. And those questions have now been answered with Brogdon’s departure from the team.

Brogdon agreed to a four-year, $85 million deal with the Indiana Pacers. That’s a little hefty for the shooting guard, but a number the Bucks could match if they wanted to. Instead, the Bucks turned their leverage into a trade for a first round pick and two seconds from the Pacers.

Brogdon was very good for the Bucks last season and joined the elite 40/50/90 club. However, he had his flaws. His slow release prevented him from getting up more threes. Then there are the questions about his foot. He was red-flagged coming into the NBA and has now suffered foot injuries in back to back seasons. That likely played a role in the Bucks unwillingness to match his offer sheet.
