4. Sterling Sharpe

Sharpe is one of the few players on this list who played most of his career without Favre. He was drafted with the seventh overall pick in 1988 and was already established as an elite receiver before Favre began quarterbacking for the Packers. Regardless, he made his three years alongside No. 4 count.

From 1992-1995, Sharpe caught 314 passes for 3854 yards and 42 touchdowns. Those are some eye-popping numbers from the most talented receiver to ever suit up in the Green and Gold. Favre and Sharpe certainly used one another to prop up their games and take the team to the next level.

Unfortunately, Sharpe’s career was ended early. He suffered a neck injury at the end of the 1994 season and never played again. He had never missed a game in his NFL career before that and the injury was a tragic one. If he had been able to stay healthy, there’s no saying what Sharpe and Favre could’ve accomplished on the field together.
