Green Bay Packers: 10 best players in Brett Favre Era
1. Reggie White
Without a doubt, Reggie White is the best player Favre has ever played with. Even if they never shared the field at the same time. As good as Favre was, he wouldn’t have had the same team success if it wasn’t for this guy.
White came over as a big free agent signing in 1993 and changed the entire landscape for the franchise. During his six seasons with the Packers, he sacked the quarterback 68.5 times. This included four years where he recorded at least 11. He sacked the quarterback a whopping 16 times in his final season with the Packers in 1998. Oh, and he was also 37-years-old that season.
White changed the entire culture for the Packers and brought a winning attitude to the team. He was the “Favre” of the defense and brought an elite playmaker to that side of the ball. He comes in at No.1 and is unquestionably the best player Favre ever had the honor of playing alongside.
