Pro: Create for others

Paul is still among the elite when it comes to creating for others. Even though his assist percentage dropped to 38.1 percent last season, the second-lowest of his career, that still ranked in the 94th percentile among point guards according to Cleaning the Glass. Furthermore, his assist-to-usage ration of 1.39 ranked in the 81st percentile. His 8.2 assists per game weren’t bad, either.

This creation would be huge for the Bucks, who struggled in the halfcourt against the Toronto Raptors in the playoffs. Paul would benefit tremendously from the five-out spacing the Bucks’ offense provides and could create easy looks for himself or his teammates when the Bucks need it most.

He’s also an unselfish player and a fierce competitor. Even though he doesn’t have championship experience, he could help elevate the play of his teammates and bring another strong voice into the locker room.
