Con: Can’t “realistically” trade until September

As previously mentioned, the Bucks have a lot of decisions to make this offseason. They must decide what they are going to do with the likes of Brogdon, Middleton, Lopez, Hill and Mirotic. By the time those outcomes are decided it might be too late to make a move for Paul.

If the Bucks want any chance of trading for Paul, they’ll likely have to include Bledsoe in any deal. Both for salary cap and talent purposes. Unfortunately, Bledsoe didn’t sign his contract extension until March 2019, which means the Bucks must wait six months before they trade him.

That puts any potential trade for Paul in September. And with the season right around the corner that’s a big move to make with little time for the new teammates to acclimate themselves.
