Best player – Davante Adams*

Now you may notice an asterisk by Davante Adams name and the reason for that is because I think that it is still pretty clear that Aaron Rodgers owns the title of “best player”. However, since I assume most will agree with that statement, I decided to go with my next option for fun.

After a slow start to his career, Adams production over the last three seasons has began to take off and culminated with a huge 2018. Last year, Adams was targeted a whopping 169 times and hauled in 111 of those passes for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Adams has launched himself into the conversation as one of the top receivers in all of football and for good reason. His numbers and the trust he has with Aaron Rodgers speaks for itself but what makes him so dynamic is his ability to create space off the line and his ability as a route runner. He’s easily one of the best in the league in both areas.

Perhaps the most impressive part about Adams’ production from 2018 was that defenses knew where Rodgers wanted to go with the ball and they still couldn’t’ stop him. With an inconsistent running game, and rookie receivers alongside him, the key to stopping this Green Bay Packers offense was slowing Adams, and teams still couldn’t do it.

What we saw from Davante Adams last year is just going to become the norm with him.
