Offensive Line (9)

Bryan Bulaga, David Bakhtiari, Corey Linsley, Lane Taylor, Billy Turner, Cole Madison, Elgton Jenkins, Jason Spriggs, Alex Light

After last year’s overall performance, this was a positional group that needed some adjustments and General Manager Brian Gutekunst made sure to do so.

The competition amongst this unit in Training Camp is going to be very intriguing. We know that Bulaga, Bakhtiari, and Linsley will start, but rookie Elgton Jenkins could push Taylor and Turner for starting time. We have also seen Bulaga miss some games in recent years, so if that happens again, it will be interesting to see if they will they use Turner at right tackle, Spriggs or even Jenkins.

While this likely isn’t a fan favorite, I’ve decided to keep Spriggs for depth reasons at the tackle position. He has had his share of struggles, but when given more consistent reps, he began to settle into the position much better and his performance improved. My guess is that he will be the third option at tackle, after Bulaga and Turner.

Light is an undrafted free agent that saw limited time with Green Bay last season but sticking with Gutekunst’s theme, I like the versatility that he brings to the offensive line, as he can be plugged into multiple positions.
