Wide Receiver (7)

Davante Adams, Geronimo Allison, Equnimeous St. Brown, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, J’Mon Moore, Jake Kumerow, Trevor Davis

It’s common knowledge that. the first five names listed here are going to make the 53-man roster, but the question becomes how many receivers will the Packers carry and who will take those final spots?

Last year, Green Bay carried seven receivers on their roster and I think they do the same thing again. Moore struggled as a rookie with drops, but as far as his route running and ability after the catch, he looks quite polished. Hopefully with another offseason under his belt and being in LaFleur’s new system, we will see the production on the field.

The UW-Whitewater alum, Jake Kumerow, became a fan favorite in the preseason by showing off his big-play potential. He also became a favorite of Aaron Rodgers, which as we have seen isn’t always the easiest thing to do. Given his connection with Rodgers and what we saw from him during his limited action in 2018, I think it’s enough to put him on the 53-man roster at this point.

The last player listed, Trevor Davis, may not be who some fans want to see, but I am putting him on here for two reasons. One is, what he can bring to this team as a kick and punt returner and the second is I am curious to see what LaFleur can do with a player of Davis’ athletic ability. I wouldn’t mind giving him one more season in the new system, to see if he can make some plays.
