Tight End (4)

Jimmy Graham, Marcedes Lewis, Robert Tonyan, Jace Sternberger

This has been a position that has been under heavy speculation since the hiring of coach LaFleur. It is well known that the tight end position will likely play a much bigger role in his offense than it did with former head coach, Mike McCarthy.

We know that Graham and Lewis will each get ample playing time as each of them brings a different skill set to this Green Bay Packers offense. Graham is at his best when lined up out wide as a receiving threat, and Lewis is a solid inline blocker who should see the field much more in 2019 with LaFleur’s offensive scheme.

As a third-round pick, the Packers hope that Sternberger is the future of the tight end position here in Green Bay with this likely being both Graham and Lewis’ last season here. Early on I expect him to make an impact in the passing game, and hopefully, he can develop as a blocker.

Tonyan is a wildcard, and while his skill set is a bit raw, there is just too much talent and potential to let him walk. As a former college receiver, he can create mismatches in the passing game but needs to refine his blocking technique.
