Special Teams (3)

Mason Crosby, Hunter Bradley, J.K. Scott

It’s fair to categorize last year as a down year for Mason Crosby, where he made 30 of 37 field goal attempts which included games where he went one for five against Detroit and missed a game-tying attempt as time expired against the Arizona Cardinals.

Rightfully so, the Green Bay Packers are bringing in some competition for Crosby this summer. They have signed Sam Ficken, who was previously with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle Seahawks. And Green Bay has also added undrafted rookie Cole Tracy from LSU.

There is the potential that for the first time in a while, Green Bay could have a new kicker come week one. However, until I see otherwise, I am going to give Crosby the benefit of the doubt and at this point, I’m expecting him to beat out the other two.

After one season with Justin Vogel in 2017, the Packers drafted J.K. Scott last offseason, and while we hope for a better performance out of him, Green Bay won’t cut a punter that they drafted in just his second NFL season.
