Safety (4)

Adrian Amos, Darnell Savage, Josh Jones, Raven Greene

This is a position that was an absolute disaster last season. HaHa Clinton-Dix was traded, Jermaine Whitehead was cut, Jones and Kentrell Brice struggled, while Greene and Ibraheim Campbell ended up on IR. Changes needed to happen and Gutekunst did just that.

The additions of Amos and Savage are going to be game changers for this Green Bay Packers defense and give them some playmakers that have been missing on the back-end of the secondary in recent seasons.

As I mentioned above, adding Amos and Savage will allow Jones to play more in the box where he is at his best, rather than in coverage where he struggles mightily.

There is the possibility that Green Bay could bring back Campbell, who is familiar with Pettine’s system from his time in Cleveland and displayed some excellent tackling skills last year before his injury. However, I think they will go with Raven Greene, who was able to make a few plays last season before he was injured.

I am incredibly excited to see Savage and Amos together in the back-end of the Green Bay Packers secondary this upcoming season.
