Green Bay Packers: Way too early 53-man roster prediction
By Paul Bretl
Although week one of the NFL season may be about four months away, here is a look at what the Green Bay Packers 53-man roster could look like.
We just finished the NFL draft a week ago, and rookie minicamp has just begun, but now is as good of a time as ever to take a look at who could make the Green Bay Packers 53-man roster come week one.
This has been an offseason full of change here in Titletown, from a new coaching staff to a number of new faces on the roster. After missing the playoffs for the second season in a row, some big changes were needed in Green Bay if they hope to return to their winning ways.
When making these roster predictions, we know who a majority of the players are going to be, it really comes down to who the fringe players are or feeling the need to have more depth at one position over another.
However, a wildcard this year is new head coach Matt LaFleur. He will be bringing in a new offense that differs from former head coach Mike McCarthy’s, and a player who struggled under the previous scheme may flourish with LaFleur.
A lot is going to change with a potential signing or two, training camp and the preseason, but with free agency and the draft complete, I’m going to put together my way too early roster prediction for the upcoming season.
