Pro: Athleticism

Make no mistake about it, Gary is an athletic freak. He can do things people his size aren’t supposed to be able to do. Packers’ scout Joe Huber said he’s been on their radar since he set foot on Michigan’s campus. Mostly, Gary’s size and speed stood out.

The Michigan defensive lineman stands at just under 6-foot-5 and 277 pounds. He also runs a 4.58 40-yard dash and has a 38-inch vertical leap. Those are crazy good numbers.

Furthermore, Gary’s has extremely long arms that allow him to extend them on offensive lineman and create the necessary space to perform his pass-rushing moves. He immediately becomes one of the best athletes on the Packers entire team. This alone is a good reason to draft Gary.
