Week 8: At Kansas City Chiefs

This is the game a lot of the NFL will have their eyes on; Aaron Rodgers vs. Patrick Mahomes. For this prediction; let’s assume Mahomes continues to play at the MVP caliber he did last year.

This will be the Packers walking into the loudest stadium in the league in a primetime game against a team that may be representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. At this point I think the Packers will have convinced everyone they aren’t the stale, boring team they once were the last couple years. However, I also don’t see them walking into arrowhead in primetime and beating the Chiefs. I just think Andy Reid will out-coach LaFleur and Mahomes will have a big game against us.

Chances are KC is going to get out to a big lead and not going to give it up. What I do want to mention, though, is that their defense is in the bottom 10 of the league. The Packers will put up big stats in a high scoring game, but I just don’t see them keeping up with the likes of Mahomes, Kelce, and Hill (unless he’s on the exempt list for his latest mishap). Don’t forget about Damien Williams either; he started to flourish in Reid’s offense at the end of last year.

I really want the Packers to win and they have every chance to, but I’m guessing they’ll lose in a high scoring affair.
