Week 6: Vs Detroit Lions

Remember the good ol’ days where Detroit would come to Lambeau Field and get blasted every game for 20 years? Well, those days are over as the Packers have not beaten the Lions since the last week of the 2016 season (this includes two straight wins for the Lions at Lambeau Field).

The Lions were actually a semi decent football team a couple years ago with some noticeable playmakers, but they have since gone through a mini rebuilding phase. They hired Matt Patricia last year, signed CJ Anderson to pair up with their 2nd year RB Kerryon Johnson, and also picked up Trey Flowers from the Patriots.

Detroit’s defense is average and their offense still has Matthew Stafford with no one to throw to other than Kenny Golladay or Marvin Jones Jr. (if he’s healthy). The Lions have been a real pain in the neck for the Packers in recent years, but this should be a sound beating on Monday Night Football. Stafford will likely have a big game as he always does at Lambeau Field, but Rodgers will have a bigger game and the defense will make stops when they need to.
