Green Bay Packers: Best Case Record Prediction
By John Toth
Week 4: Vs Philadelphia Eagles
The Packers will be coming off a short week to face the Eagles who are a good team, but not a contender. Carson Wentz is a good candidate for comeback player of the year if he can replicate his 2017 season He had flashes last year that he can still sling it before going down with another injury.
Eagles also brought back Philly favorite DeSean Jackson, and they still have Alshon Jeffry and Nelson Agholor to go along with it. That’s a pretty good receiving corp, and one the Packers will certainly need to keep in check in this game coming off a short week. Don’t forget that former Bears RB Jordan Howard will now be carrying the rock for them. He’ll be looking to rock this season after the Bears bogusly traded him away.
This is one of the home games I thought the Packers may lose after starting off hot; especially on the short week. I only see them winning this game because the Packers defense should be able to hold off Philly’s offense better than Philly’s defense would hold off the Packers. Their defensive line is their strong suit, but I believe the Packers’ offensive line can create some holes or give Rodgers the opportunity to extend some plays. It’s cliche, but it will likely come down to turnovers in this one. If not; then contain Jordan Howard, don’t give up too many deep balls, and the Packers should win this one
