Week 2: Vs Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings were a force to be reckoned with a couple years ago, and their Achilles heel has always been the quarterback position. They thought they were surefire contenders when they gave Kirk Cousins a fully guaranteed contract worth $84 million, but things didn’t pan out quite well for them last year. As much as I can’t stand that team, they are going to be better this year.

But not better enough to beat a Packers team at Lambeau coming off a big win in prime-time on 10 days rest. The Packers played the exact same game last year Week 2 and it was a bonanza of terrible fourth quarter defense by the Packers and awful place-kicking by both teams.

This game will be more of a shootout than the one in Chicago. Minnesota has good receivers and a great running back in Dalvin Cook (if he can stay healthy). They also still have a good defense, but keep in mind they lost Sheldon Richardson to the Browns. I don’t see them holding back the Aaron’s of Rodgers and Jones long enough to come away with a win.
