Green Bay Packers: Best Case Record Prediction
By John Toth
Week 13: At New York Giants
The Giants are a team that has a lot of fans scratching their heads. They traded away Odell Beckham Jr, signed Golden Tate, and gave Sterling Shepard a 4 year $41mil deal. This is likely Eli Manning’s last year under center and really the only dynamic playmaker they have on offense is Saquon Barkley.
This is another game where I see a lot of people stressing. The Bears went there last year fully expecting to smoke them but got vastly outplayed and ended up losing in overtime. The Giants, especially at home, aren’t a team to take lightly regardless of their lack of talent.
I think this is a case where as long as Green Bay contains Saquon and force Eli to throw and make bad decisions, they should leave East Rutherford with a W. There’s also a chance Eli gets benched midway through the season in favor of whoever his heir to the throne is. Packers get a much needed win here before going back to Lambeau for 2 weeks.
