Week 12: At San Francisco 49ers

Barring another injury, the 49ers should have their franchise quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo back under center. I could’ve only imagined how it would’ve turned out last year had he been under center instead of CJ Beathard during that Monday Night game. Regardless, going to San Francisco will be no easy task even though I think the Packers are considerably more talented than the 49ers.

The 49ers got robbed with injuries last year not just to Garoppolo but also to Jerick McKinnon and Pierre Garcon. Matt Breida filled the void well but even he couldn’t stay healthy most weeks. Other than that, their defense was one of, if not, the worst in the league. It won’t get much better even though they’ll probably land Nick Bosa with the second overall pick. I understand going on the road no matter what is a daunting task for the Packers, but I just think they’re way too talented to let San Francisco come away with a win. I said last year’s game against them should be a breeze but it came down to the last tick. I don’t think that will be the case later this year when the Packers have found their identity.
