No’s 41-50

Justin Layne, CB, Michigan State

Julian Love, CB, Notre Dame

Garrett Bradbury, OL, NC State

David Montgomery, RB, Iowa State

Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama

Travyon Mullen, CB, Clemson

Mack Wilson, ILB, Alabama

Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio state

Deionte Thompson, S, Alabama

Dexter Lawrence, DL, Clemson

Why? The first quarterback and running back make their appearance on the board. I think Haskins is QB1. He can make all the necessary throws to play in an NFL offense. Despite what you may hear from a national pundit, he’s not more of a runner.

David Montgomery and Josh Jacobs are incredibly close from my estimation. I love both of their potential in Matt LaFluer’s offense. Deionte Thompson was a darling early in the process, but anything that resembled a sophisticated offense, he struggled against. He’s not anything like Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix, but I wouldn’t be ready to pull the trigger on him until Round 3 at the earliest.
