No.’s 31-40

Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa State

Irv Smith Jr., TE, Alabama

Juan Thornhill, S, Virginia

Amani Oruwariye, CB, Penn State

Cody Ford, OL, Oklahoma

N’Keal Harry, WR, Arizona State

JJ Arecega-Whiteside, WR, Stanford

David Long, CB, Michigan

Amani Hooker, S, Iowa

Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia

Why? – Butler is one of the most interesting prospects in this draft to me. His combine was alien-like. His production, however, simply wasn’t there on a consistent basis. This was the case in a Big 12 conference where defense is almost always optional.

Irv Smith Jr. Is a Packers fan-favorite as an alternative to the Iowa tight ends. I believe he will be an option for them at 44 overall. Juan Thornhill is gaining some steam. I do like him, just not as much as the three aforementioned safeties. N’Keal Harry and JJ Arcega-Whiteside are closely rated. I think Harry fits better in Green Bay’s offense, and would be intrigued on what he could bring if the Packers could get him in the second round.

David Long is one of my favorite under the radar prospects in this draft. He played man coverage almost exclusively. He has some ability in zone as well. Amani Hooker is Micah Hyde if he was more athletic. He can play deep as well as in the slot. He’s a safety prospect I would love if Green Bay could snag him in Round 3.
