No.’s 21-30

Chase Winovich, EDGE, Michigan

Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson

Rashan Gary, EDGE/IDL, Michigan

Anthony Nelson, EDGE, Iowa

Darnell Savage, S, Maryland

Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, S, Florida

Nasir Adderley, S, Delaware

Byron Murphy, CB, Washington

Kelvin Harmon, WR, South Carolina

Andre Dillard, OL, Wazzu

Why? Our first safety checks in during the third installment of this board, but the biggest surprise for you probably kicks in at 21. I’ve been on record since September that I believe Chase Winovich is better than Rashan Gary. Gary has the pedigree and the star rating from when he came out of high school. That’s about it. Winovich was more productive, and he’s more than just a “motor” guy. He’s a great athlete and that shows up both on tape and at the combine.

Darnell Savage gets the honor of my Safety 1 in this draft. I love his ability to play both as a deep centerfield type and down in the box. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson and Nasir Adderley are not too far behind. I would not take a safety in the first round of this year’s draft. One darling in the Green Bay media has been Andre Dillard. I like his ability and upside as a pass blocker, but worry about him getting mauled in the run game.
