Green Bay will make a trade to jump back into round two

During free agency this year, Gutekunst made a number of splash moves to show that this year’s Green Bay Packers team is all in and I’m anticipating that same mentality in the draft.

The last few years of the Ted Thompson era in Green Bay left his roster decimated and lacking playmakers. Gutekunst has done a terrific job over the last two offseasons to make some significant changes but there is still work to be done at this point.

With three selections in the top 50 of the draft, Green Bay is in a terrific position to add those much-needed immediate impact players to this roster. However, with ten total picks this year, they should be aggressive and make a run at making their way back into the second round for one more selection.

In order to do so, it will likely take their third rounder, one of their fourths and potentially a late round pick as well, but it would be well worth it. This is a very good draft class and having four out of the first sixty-four picks will do wonders for this roster and give them another player that can be a starter right away.

Next. Way too early record prediction for the Packers. dark

Usually in rounds four and beyond there is development needed, but Green Bay is looking to maximize these next few years with Rodgers, so they should go and get another top player.
