Green Bay Packers: 5 must-see games
2.) Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears September 5 7:20 PM
The oldest rivalry in the history of the NFL kicking off the league’s 100th season. What could be better than that? The Bears ran the north last season before succumbing to the right foot of Cody Parkey in the playoffs. It will be year two of Matt Nagy and Mitchell Trubisky heading up the Bears offense.
While the Bears defense may take a step back with the loss of Vic Fangio, Khalil Mack is still there. He’s one of, if not the, best defensive players in football. That will be a big test for the Packers offensive line early in the season. The Bears front seven is vicious. Their secondary has ballhawks like Kyle Fuller and Eddie Jackson roaming the back seven. Rodgers has typically saved some of his finest moments for their matchups against the Bears.
This game has all the makings of an early season classic. It’s also a perfect opportunity for the Packers to prove last season is over. Matt LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers can silence all the offseason noise with a big win over their oldest rivals.
