1. On the road again

The Packers have a difficult schedule to finish the season. At least, they’ll be spending a lot of time on the road. Because of their home-heavy start, the Packers play four of their last six games away from Lambeau Field and six of their last nine. That’s tough.

Beginning in Week 8, the Packers play at the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers in back-to-back weeks. Both teams made the playoffs last season at 12-4. They follow up their bye two weeks later with another set of back-to-back road games, this time on opposite ends of the country at the San Francisco 49ers and then at the New York Giants. They return home for a two-game stretch before finishing the year at Minnesota and at Detroit.

This certainly isn’t the case, but it feels like the NFL doesn’t want Green Bay playing at home as the weather turns cold, as they only have three games at Lambeau in November and December combined.

Regardless, the Packers will have to improve upon their abysmal 1-7 road record last season if they want any shot at returning to the playoffs. They have some very winnable road games on their schedule as of now and will have every opportunity to take full advantage of them.
