2. Home sweet home

The first half of the schedule reminds me a lot of last season, as Green Bay spends a lot of time at home. Five of the Packers’ first seven games are at Lambeau field and include contests against the Vikings, Broncos Eagles, Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders.

The Packers were 5-2-1 at home last season and will likely make it a priority to protect their house. Lambeau has lost some of its sacredness in recent seasons and Aaron Rodgers and company will want to recapture that. It’s imperative Green Bay gets off to a fast start and avoids the middling they did at the beginning of last season.

Green Bay doesn’t even have back to back road games in the first half of the season. That should lead to a lot of time at home and a very well-rested squad. Of course, a home-heavy schedule to begin the season means…
