Round 5, Pick 150:

Fanspeak: LB T.J. Edwards, Wisconsin

The Draft Network: RB Myles Gaskin, Washington

After drafting two developmental guys in Round Four that could be impactful down the road, we now look at two guys whose tape look far better than their athletic testing showed. In TJ Edwards, he has been quoted as saying that he knew he wouldn’t impress in just shorts, but once the pads come on, he’s a playmaker. And the tape shows it. He was a turnover machine at middle linebacker and even if he doesn’t approach that as a pro, he could be a Blake Martinez-type of player who thrives on special teams and eventually becomes a starting linebacker.

On the other side of the ball, Myles Gaskin does a little bit of everything and was the pistons that made the Washington Huskies engine go. He isn’t an every down back at this level, but he has the receiving skills and agility to make an impact as a third down back right away and is easily able to get up to top speed and make plays. He’d be a steal in the fifth round.
