Round 6, Pick 194:

Fanspeak: WR Jakobi Meyers, NC State

The Draft Network: OT Isaiah Prince, Ohio State

In using the pick that Brett Hundley fetched the Packers, the Packers take two productive college players who are hard to project. Jakobi Meyers is a converted quarterback who put it together last year at receiver, catching over 90 passes for over 1000 yards. He has some of the best pure ball skills in the class, but he doesn’t have the deep speed to be a top outside receiver, despite his 6’2″ frame. Using a current Packer as a comparison, think Geronimo Allison.

With the Draft Network, Isaiah Prince was another high upside pick at tackle who has a lot to work on. A three-year starter at an elite program in Columbus, Prince showed flashes of being a first-round quality pick, and sometimes looked like he should be playing Division II. As one of the scouts describes him, “extremely high ceiling, extremely low floor.” That’s well worth the risk in Round Six.
