4. Wide receiver

The team drafted three wide receivers last year, and they have Davante Adams, who is one of the NFL’s top players at the position. However, their three draft picks from last year are mostly athletes with unproven talent. They all have a ton of potential, but the team could use a more polished player on the outside opposite from Adams while those younger guys develop.

The main issue for them is the lack of top end talent in this free agent class at the wide receiver spot. They’re likely letting outgoing free agent Randall Cobb sign with someone else in free agency, and they need someone to push the ball up the field in Matt LaFleur’s offense. They could look to target a player like Chris Conley away from the Kansas City Chiefs. He’s not an overwhelming athlete, but he does have the talent to develop and play well in this offense.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, J’Mon Moore and Equanimeous St. Brown are all promising players that can become great players in the future of this offense. However, until then, they could use this opportunity to add veteran talent to allow them to develop. This free agent class could let them grab a player for a discounted price for a couple of years.
